Story

Joyce Patterson
MPH, RDN, BC-ADM, CPT

By day, I am a diabetes care and education specialist at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor, Michigan. On nights and weekends, I am a health communications consultant and author. I am passionate about helping people understand their health conditions and how to make lifestyle changes that are manageable and sustainable. My upcoming book, Think Like a Dietitian: A Nutrition Counseling Starter Kit, is scheduled for publication in March 2024. The book covers the most frequently asked questions in nutrition counseling and includes the educational materials to answer them, plus other tips for nutrition counseling and education.
